3D Thursday: Marshmallow Peep Slider Box

It's Thursday, which means we have a brand new 3D project
and FREE tutorial for you!
I am the featured designer this week!

I have been very intrigued by all of the different flavors of marshmallow Peeps
that are in the stores right now.
Remember when you could only get Peeps at Easter,
and the choices were bunnies or chicks?
Now, there are marshmallow Peeps for every holiday and in a variety of flavors!
When I saw the Party Cake-flavored Peeps in the store,
I immediately thought of our adorable Hey Birthday Chick stamp set
and thought they would be the perfect match!

You can scroll down to the bottom of this post to download the free tutorial!

This project includes a box "bottom" which holds a package of marshmallow Peeps.
Then, there is a slider that goes over just part of the box.
I designed it specifically to show the birthday Peeps inside.
(You could also create an Easter version to hold regular Peeps!)

I adore the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set and dies,
and I wanted to spotlight the crazy-haired chicken
with the cupcake.

I also pulled in the Stitched Stars Dies.  I think this die set
is SO overlooked, as it doesn't have a coordinating stamp set.
It is so versatile, however, and I reach for it for many projects!

14 Days of Love! Day 4

February is the month of LOVE!

I have some SWEET Valentine's Day cards to share with you!
The next three posts are cards that I created
as part of my Free Online Card Class Series.
(Did you know that I teach a new FREE online card class
every Friday in a private Facebook group?
Click the link below to join!)

Let's continue our celebration of
14 Days of Love!

Today's card is a fun fold card!  It starts with a gatefold card base
(which simply means that it opens in the front instead of on the side.)
Then, I created two panels and adhere one to the left flap and one to the right.
Then comes the fun part-embellishing the panels!
I chose to fussy-cut candies from the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper
for this card.  The only stamping is the sentiment on the banner!

Thank you so much for popping by today
for my 14 Days of Love series!
I hope you love this project.

14 Days of Love! Day 3

February is the month of LOVE!

It's not just about Valentine's Day...
it's important to celebrate love EVERY DAY
and with EVERYONE who is special to us!

Today, we're celebrating those specials friends in our

14 Days of Love!

I have the best friends ever.  Seriously.
I wanted to create a beautiful friendship card
that included the word "love" in the sentiment.
I found the perfect sentiment in the
Garden Wishes stamp set, but the images weren't
exactly what I had in mind.  I kept looking at the stamps on my shelf,
and the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set jumped out at me!
This stamp is one large stamp with 6 butterfly images and no sentiments.
It was a perfect choice to pair with my sentiment!

But the part I love most about this card is the stamped DSP.
I stamped the butterfly image directly onto my
Heart & Home Designer Series paper.
I used my Stamparatus and StazOn ink.
Then I added a hint of color to my butterflies
using sponge daubers and a few soft ink colors
(Misty Moonlight, Pale Papaya and So Saffron.)
Look at the way the woodgrain peeks through...
I love it!

Finally, I stamped my "love" sentiment
with Misty Moonlight ink and used a stitched label die
from the Potted Succulents Dies.
A swirl of Pale Papaya & White 1/2" Woven Ribbon
finished it off!

Thank you so much for popping by today
for my 14 Days of Love series!
I hope you love this project.
