3D Thursday: Sweet Talk Mailbox for Valentine's Day

It seems like we have barely gotten through Christmas, and New Year's Eve is tomorrow!  Can you believe it's ALMOST 2022?  It seems crazy to think that it's time to start thinking about Valentine's Day, but as crafters, we are ALWAYS thinking a few months ahead.

I have a cute altered 3D project for you today, featuring lots of new products from our upcoming Mini Catalog!  It goes live on Tuesday, January 4, along with our Sale-a-Bration promotion!

My project started with a paper mâché mailbox from Hobby Lobby.  The measurements on the bottom are listed as 7" x 5.5", but the instructions that I created can easily be modified to fit any similar mailbox you have.  Simply use your mailbox as a template, as I did.

I love that you can personalize this so that a special little person can use it to hold their valentines!  I think my granddaughter, Ava, is going to love this.

Another fun detail is that you can use the same supplies to whip up some adorable coordinating valentines!  The scalloped rectangle is just the right size for classroom exchanges, and the die cut hearts look like a cute little postage stamp!  The back can be used for a short note and for your child to sign his or her name.

3D Thursday: Money Holder Gift Card

Happy Thursday, everyone!  Thursday means that it's time for another cute and creative project from the 3D Thursday Design Team!  This week, Twila Davis from Stamp a Little Longer designed a pretty (and pretty useful!) money gift holder for us!

Isn't is beautiful!  I just love the tree paper in the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper.  Mint Macaron is the coordinating color (so soft and pretty!) and the tree paper has very subtle iridescent foiling.  The striped paper on the belly band has LOTS of the foiling, so I loved that Twila used it sparingly but oh-so-effectively!

Here's what the inside of the card looks like with the belly band removed.  You can see there's a little pocket inside-perfect if you're giving cash instead of a gift card!

This card can easily be adapted for a birthday or graduation card, too, just by switching up the patterned paper and sentiment!

3D Thursday: Penguin Lip Balm Holder

This week's project is UBER CUTE!  This adorable lip balm holder was created by our Design Team Member, Sarah Wills.  You can see all of Sarah's amazing creating on her blog, Sarah's Ink Spot.

I told you it was UBER CUTE!  There's just something about a penguin dressed up as Rudolph that makes me smile!  This little holder looks like a book but when you untie the baker's twine, it opens to reveal a peppermint chapstick!  So cute!
